Marine Navigation Act 2013

The Marine Navigation Act 2013 is expected to come into force within the next few months.  This Act amends the Pilotage Act 1987 introducing amendments in relation to pilotage exemption certificates and the Harbours Act 1964 introducing amendments in relation to harbour authorities and the granting of directions for the movement of vessels and personnel.  The Act also increases the responsibilities of port constables by authorising them to act out with their area.
