Braemar – Approx 9.8 miles
Braemar is a thriving village known for its world famous Gathering every September. Amenities include a selection of independent shops, chemist, Greens supermarket, Farquharson’s Bar and Kitchen and the Fife Arms Hotel and Spa, home to the Flying Stag pub. There is a primary school in Braemar, with secondary education at Aboyne Academy.
Aberdeen – Approx 50 miles
Aberdeen provides all the services of a major city, including business, leisure and health facilities, theatres and cinemas, restaurants and a wide range of shops. There is private schooling including Robert Gordon’s College, St Margaret’s and Albyn, as well as the International school at Pitfodels. There are two universities and colleges of further education. Directions
From Aberdeen travel west on the A93, signposted for Banchory, Ballater and Braemar. Continue through Banchory and onwards to and through Ballater. Proceed west on the A93 for a short distance towards Crathie. Pass the Balmoral car park on the left and take the first right turn, signposted Tomintoul (B976). Continue along the B976 and the plot is located on the left-hand side, clearly indicated by a Mackinnons For Sale board
