John joined Mackinnons as a Partner in 2026.

Qualifying as a Solicitor in Scotland in 2001, John has worked in both in-house and private practice roles and prior to joining Mackinnons, he spent a number of years as legal manager and company secretary for a large international energy services group. John is an experienced general corporate solicitor covering all areas of commercial and corporate law practice, intellectual property, mergers & acquisitions, energy services contracting and corporate restructuring. John is also a Notary Public.
