He is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen, who qualified as a Solicitor in 1994. He has spent his working life based in Aberdeen returning in 1997 to the firm where he had undertaken his traineeship, and advanced through the ranks there to become a partner in 2005. He joined Mackinnons as a Partner at the beginning of 2019.
Neil is experienced in a wide range of Civil Court Work but nowadays specialises in insolvency both with regard to general advice and court claims relating to insolvent companies or individuals. While based in Aberdeen he has clients from all over Scotland, as well as some from England who require to deal with Scottish insolvencies.

Buyers’ wariness over the short term may well affect property sales as they effectively “sit tight” to see what happens with interest rates. This may result in a sluggish Autumn/Winter market as moving plans are put on hold, but for the moment, there is still healthy demand for properties in desirable locations and in good condition.
