Mackinnons Solicitors take on ‘58 Miles in February for Refuge’

Sadly statistics show that one in four women will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime.

Changing a life can start with one step. This February, a team of 12 colleagues at Mackinnons Solicitors LLP will each endeavour to walk ‘58 miles in February for Refuge’. Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist services to survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse, with thousands of women and children being supported by Refuge on any given day.

Across the team, the total distance we aim to achieve is 696 miles - greater than the distance between Lands End and John o Groats (as the crow flies)!

Any donations (and encouragement!) are welcome and would be gratefully received. Every penny counts, just £15 could provide a woman with essentials for her first night’s stay in a refuge, whilst £52 could provide a woman and her children a safe overnight stay.
