Mackinnons look forward to 2019

The start of 2019 heralds a particularly positive note for us with Mackinnons assuming the staff and former business of Iain Smith Solicitors LLP.  Partner Neil Torrance and Associate Sarah Newnham will join the firm along with additional support staff as at 1st January 2019.  Neil will join our Court Department and Sarah our Property Department.  Pamela Smith from Iain Smith Solicitors will join our Estate Agency team and we are also pleased to welcome into the firm, Pamela Morrison and Sally Hammond, who will be joining our Estate Agency team, also at the beginning of the year, from Strutt & Parker Estate Agency department.

As 2018 comes to a close we have also seen a number of valued staff retire after many years of service whilst some others have chosen to move on through family and other reasons.  Our former Senior Partner Keith MacRae will continue with us as a Consultant which we will all greatly appreciate.    Keith became a Partner with Mackinnons in 1983 and is recognised by Chambers, MAIB, MCA and others within the profession as the leading shipping casualty investigations lawyer in Scotland.

All of our new staff members collectively bring many years experience to the firm and we are confident that their knowledge and expertise will bring a positive energy to our firm.  Together we will enter 2019 with fresh ideas, encouragement and professionalism to share with you into the New Year.

May we wish you and yours a Happy Christmas when the time comes.
