Aberdeenshire Schools - Mock Trial Competition 2014

Mock Trials Competition 2014 - Winners: Aboyne Academy

Mackinnons were delighted to play a small part in supporting the team from Aboyne Academy which came out on top at this year’s Mock Trials Competition which was held at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on 8th November.

The team of 14 budding young Ally McBeals and Rumpoles came through the whole competition undefeated and acted as prosecutors, defence agents and juries in the day-long event.

Sheriff Graham Napier presided over the final, which was between Aboyne Academy and Turriff Academy.

Throughout the course of the day, the Aboyne Academy team were commended for their preparation, presentation and tenacious spirit.

Considering the number of schools participating and the high standard demonstrated by all, this makes Aboyne Academy’s achievement all the more impressive.

Special mention requires to be made of Mrs Jenny Law, who guided the team, and, it seemed to us, for whom the team were determined to win it.

Well Done!!
