New Offshore Wind Centre off Aberdeen

Consent has recently been granted for the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre in Aberdeen Bay.  The development will consist of 11 wind turbines to be situated between 2 and 4.5km off the coast.  The turbines will be capable of generating enough energy to power almost half of the homes across Aberdeen city.  The development will enable the testing of cutting edge wind technology, reliability and capacity generation in an offshore environment as well as creating a number of jobs for the north east.

Scotland has excellent opportunities for renewable energy projects and this only strengthens Aberdeen's place in the energy sector.  Whether you are an individual, partnership or company, if you would like further information in relation to renewable projects generally or specific advice, please contact Kirstin Ejsmont or Martin Sinclair  or call 01224 632 464.
