Handing on the Baton
Mackinnons wish to announce that our Senior Partner, Denis Yule, has retired from the partnership, effective from 1 October 2008. We are very pleased that Denis will continue in a consultancy role, contributing his considerable experience in Fisheries Prosecution work and general court and tribunal advocacy.
At the same time, the firm is delighted to announce that our Associate, Neil Smith, working in marine and offshore litigation in our Carden Place office, has been assumed as a partner in the firm. Our Assistant in the Cults office, Shirley Shay, who works in our private client department, has been promoted to Associate.
Managing partner, Charles Scott, said: “Denis has been a partner in the firm since 1972 and has built up a deserved reputation as an outstanding advocate. We will continue to benefit from these skills in his consultancy role. We are also very pleased to welcome Neil into the partnership. His drive and enthusiasm tie in with the firm’s commitment to practical, pragmatic advice for our clients. Shirley’s contribution to our high quality private client service has been impressive and her promotion is well deserved.
